About the institution
Berkeley Global – UC Berkeley Extension is an academic department within the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley). We are located two blocks from the main campus. Our department offers short term study-abroad programs for undergraduates, graduates, and professionals. We do not offer full degree programs; we offer study abroad and non-degree certificate programs. Students can transfer credits to their home university and will receive a final transcript from UC Berkeley Extension. Our short term programs provide students with in-depth skills and learning experiences that will advance their academic and professional goals.

Berkeley Global does not offer ESL programs.
Student Housing options
Berkeley Global students may choose to live in a private or shared apartment, off-campus dormitory, or homestay. Our Housing Advisor can assist with housing support and provide resources for students looking for accommodations in Berkeley and San Francisco.
We do not place students in housing. Berkeley Global students are not eligible to live directly on the UC Berkeley main campus. However, there are many other accommodations near campus.

Berkeley Global is part of the vibrant UC Berkeley community and offers a wide range of student programming and activities depending on the program of study.
